Enthovenplein 'De Klok'

The student residence called 'De Klok' was built in 2011 by Leiden University in cooperation with Vestia Vastgoed and Dura Vermeer and is now owned by housing organisation DUWO The Hague. The building consist of 180 units, two elevators, laundry facilities and an indoor bicycle storage. Rent prices vary from € 400 - € 745 per month. There are several types of rooms and apartments which are listed below.


The building of Enthovenplein 'De Klok' is located close to the train station of The Hague Hollands Spoor. The city centre is within 2 kilometres distance from this location. The tram 17 stops close by and brings you to the train station Centraal and the beach in Scheveningen. Leiden University's Campus The Hague is at about 2.5 kilometres distance and can be reached within 25 minutes by foot and within 5-10 minutes by bike.

There are a lot of students in this area, since there are the The Hague school of applied sciences and three other large student housing buildings (including Stamkartstraat) very close by to Enthovenplein.


Rooms and apartments at Enthovenplein
There are 113 self contained units and 65 units for either two persons, four persons or six persons. Some of the units have shared rooms (two persons share one room).

Single studio apartment with private facilities
Each single studio apartment consists of one room, and has its own kitchen, and bathroom (shower and toilet). The size of the studio apartment varies between 25m² and 35m² and they all have the same kind of furniture. Some single studio apartments have a (shared) balcony. The units are furnished and kitchenware is provided.

Single room with shared facilities in a 2 room unit
Each student has their own living/bedroom of approximately 20 m². You will share the facilities (bathroom with toilet and shower, and kitchen) with a maximum of 1 other student. A few of these units have a shared balcony. 

Shared room with shared facilities in a 3 room unit
Each student shares a living/bedroom of approximately 30 m² with one other student. The facilities (living room, bathroom with shower and toilet, and kitchen) are shared with a maximum of 5 other students. Some rooms also have a (shared) balcony. 

Single room with shared facilities in a 4 room unit
Each student has their own living/bedroom of approximately 30 m². You will share the facilities (living room, 2 bathrooms with shower and toilet, and kitchen) with a maximum of 3 other students. 

General facilities 
The building has a safe bicycle storage area, a common room and two elevators. There is a laundry room with washing machines and dryers. The use of these are not included in the rent. Washing costs 3,50 euro and drying 1,00 euro. For the payment you can use a Dutch debit card (not credit card).

No smoking in the rooms
Please bear in mind that all rooms at Enthovenplein 'De Klok' are non-smoking.

There is an internet connection available. This service is provided by Utelisys and is included in the rent. The only thing you need to arrange is an UTP cable.


Please bear in mind that these prices will be raised in in July due to a statutory rent increase and recalculation of the service costs.

At least the above mentioned items should be present in your room. The model of an item may differ from room to room. 

Apartments that have carpet on the floor have a vacuum cleaner included in the inventory. It is prohibited to place extra inventory in your room or anywhere in the building.
